Critically acclaimed Pulitzer Prize winning author, Rick Bragg will visit the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center during our 15th Anniversary Celebration.
Bragg was born and raised in Alabama, and his novels are a true testament to the rich culture and heritage of the South. His critically acclaimed novels include New York Times Best-Seller and Notable Book of the Year, “All Over but the Shoutin’”, plus “Ava’s Man,” and “Somebody Told Me.” Bragg received a Pulitzer Prize for journalism as a national correspondent for the New York Times, covering such topics as the Oklahoma City Bombing, the Jonesboro killings, and the Susan Smith trial.
Bragg’s literary accolades are only a part of what makes him so fascinating – it is the depth of his work, the stories he tells, and the honest portrayal of every character that establish him as a premier Southern author. Having a writer of his caliber in Carrollton is a great way to celebrate the arts in our community. Mr. Bragg will be signing books after the program in the theater lobby.
